ABOUT

Chen Holtzman is an Israeli-American mezzo-soprano whose voice and charm have captivated audiences since she first took the stage as Cherubino in Mozart’s "Le nozze di Figaro." Over the years, Chen has embraced comedic and dramatic roles like Prince Orlofsky in Strauss's "Die Fledermaus," and Madam Flora in Menotti’s "The Medium."

Though Chenzie’s voice comfortably spans from Baroque to Musical Theater, her passion lies in performing trouser roles and characters playfully referred to as ‘Witches, Bitches, and Boys.’ In 2022, Chen performed with the Israeli Opera under the Meiter Opera Studio, adding more gems to her growing repertoire.

Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, Chen has produced and performed the gala events "Pearls of Opera" and "Opera: Unplugged" which celebrate and introduce audiences to the rich tapestry of Opera.

Chen earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music from the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music at Tel-Aviv University and pursued further studies at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
